USAID Capacity Building Workshop PDF Print E-mail

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in Macedonia requested services to perform a Capacity Building Workshop for the nine local organizations that have been or are about to be awarded with USAID Grants. All of these organizations are very well versed in the technical areas that they are covering, but most of them find themselves in the role of primary implementer of a USAID project for the first time and need detailed introduction into USAID processes, procedures and requirements related to project management. They also have different levels of experience in implementing donor funded projects.
The goal of the  five day workshop is to improve the participant’s understanding of USAID processes, procedures and requirements, provide them with necessary template documents and best practices and build their practical skills to better manage and implement the projects they have been awarded.

Through this workshop, USAID aims to assist its current and future local partners to overcome the biggest challenges they are and will be facing in managing the awarded projects, such as:
•    Project start-up:
•    Relationship with USAID:
•    Public outreach:
•    Financial Management:
•    Proper project administration:
•    Project implementation and reviewing performance:
•    Closing the project
