The project name is an acronym for "Albania, Macedonia, Italy: Operating Partnerships", and is aimed at strengthening the process of penetration and entrenchment of small and medium Italian enterprises in the Western Balkans, establishment of cooperative relations between small and medium Italian, Albanian and Macedonian enterprises that want to support the process of penetration in those markets that show growth rates of interest.The International Partnership Project AMICO sees the collaboration of five Italian partners, and two foreign partners.This is a partnership project with authority to represent the business system of these three countries. Therefore, AMICO’s strength is being designed 'from the companies', where all the activities of business support have been planned, directed toward the concretization and the effectiveness of interventions.

The main goal of the project was working with Macedonian teachers, administrators and other stakeholders to develop a teacher training curriculum that provide teachers with the knowledge and skills they need to use ICTs effectively in the classroom, by providing trainings to all lower primary school teachers for the use of Intel Classmate PCs. Intel laptops were provided by Government of Macedonia and are for students from grade one to three. |

“My career” aims to construct bridge between educational institutions, students, and companies. It helps students find jobs and internships in top Macedonian companies and help companies recruit the best talents available in the labor market.
The aims of the program are:
• to reduce the gap between the supply of the workforce and users of these talents especially with the shortages in the sectors/industries where the workforce is needed,
• to educate the business community and education providers in the country on the benefits of the internship program and
• to develop an internship program so, the companies that can not afford to bear the recruitment cost could benefit by being part of the program.
The portal www.mojakariera.com.mk is an interactive platform which allows interaction between students and job seekers and companies in a real time. Interactive activities such as: on-line career fair, forums, video-presentation by the companies and on-line presentation are some of the actions provided by the portal that allow both students and job seekers on one hand and companies on the other hand to communicate in a real time.
Also, a training program is developed and delivered for businesses on the internship methodology and students, on employability skills to better prepare them before the exchange of job applications and job offers takes place. Trainings are provided for students in writing a CV, cover letter, communication and negotiation skills. Mentors in the companies participating in the Internship program are also receiving customized trainings. |
