Participatory Rural Appraisal/Assessment (PRA) is an approach that includes a range of participatory techniques and tools that enable stakeholders analyze their problems and then plan, implement and evaluate agreed-upon solutions. Key points of this manual refer to the following themes:
•    Farming System Mapping,
•    Seasonal Calendar,
•    Key Informant Interviews,
•    Transect walks,
•    Community Timeline Mapping
In the field of land use planning, the PRA approach can be useful to gather information on a broad range of community activities; to develop a better understanding of system dynamics; and to appreciate the interlinked factors influencing land use and management.
Most of all, the use of PRA tools encourages the participation of the local community in their own problem identification.

Preparation of a user friendly manual for NEA’s group for Economic Empowerment for Rural Women in the process of negotiation and lobbing activities in the service of Macedonian agricultural advisory support program, that can be used in future as a field tool by all advisors working in the economic empowerment of rural women.

CDS conducted research, collected data, designed and prepared the Pocket guide to Organizing Agricultural Promotional Campaign

CDS prepared a procedure guide for the production of written agricultural advisory materials for farmers, which was considered a second phase of the project. The guide was prepared in a form of a process chart as an aide to authors. It also provided examples of good and bad writing styles and a list of do’s and don’ts in the preparation of written materials.

Develop a publication that will enable the companies from Eastern Macedonia to have better access to financial information.

1.    Preparation: Review of existing documents
The documents will be prepared and reviewed in order to identify the needs for the research activities of the project. This phase will enable us to better understand the projects and its needs, and develop the detailed methodology for the preparation of the manual.
    2.    Methodology development
The methodology of the manual will be prepared after the review of the sample documents has been conducted. The methodology will include a draft outline of the manual as well as activities needed to acquire and analyze the information.
    3.    Data research
There will be several activities in the research phase of the project.    These activities are intended to assist in getting a better    understanding of the EUREPGAP standard and procedures  for acquiring the standard in Macedonia.
    4.    Data Analysis
The data analysis will be conducted after most of the materials have been collected. The analysis will include qualitative and quantitative aspects. The analysis process will set the basis for the preparation of the draft manual.
    5.    Manual
The content and layout of the Manual will be prepared after the all the data has been collected.
