In March of 2010, CDS together with ITC were selected to manage the first year of USAID’s National  Internship and Job Placement Programme “My Career Place”.  During this year, there were 738 internships, 140 employments, 173 training workshops for 5244 participants:  57 trainings for CV and Motivation letter preparation for 3000 students, 91 whole day workshop for Communication skills, interview preparation and business ethics for 1942 students; and 25 trainings for Mentors with 302 mentors.

The program developed a portal “MyCareer Place” with 6419 registered students and 297 registered companies only after the first year. The project was started by intense promotional activities, covering 11 towns and attended by 120 companies and 1200 students. The process of assessing the needs of the companies for interns was followed by selection of the registered students and job-seekers to the portal and where necessary recruiting specific profiles of students and graduates. This project has continued and CDS is proud of having been part of the beginnings.
