Mr. Nenad Apostoloski, CDS’ Managing Partner took part at the kick-off meeting of AMICO, as a representative of the Macedonian Chambers of Commerce,  AMICO institutional partner in Macedonia.

AMICO, the new project funded by the Ministry of Economic Development of Italy, was presented to the press this morning in the CBD, the Fiera del Levante,. The project name is an acronym for "Albania, Macedonia, Italy: Operating Partnerships", and is aimed at strengthening the process of penetration and entrenchment of small and medium Italian enterprises in the Western Balkans.

The International Partnership Project AMICO sees the collaboration of five Italian partners, institutional representatives of business associations - Confindustria Confapi, CNA, Confartigianato, National League of Cooperatives and Mutuals, Fiera del Levante , and two foreign partners , Alb-Konfindustria (Association of Albanian Businesses) and the Union of Chambers of Commerce of Macedonia; some activities will be conducted in cooperation with ICE - Italian Institute for Foreign Trade.

AntoniAMICOo Ciuffreda, President of Fiera del Levante Services, presented Mr. Ianuario Antonio, representative of the Ministry of Economic Development, and explained the strategy that has inspired the design of the activities: "We have created a partnership project with authority to represent the business system of our three countries. Therefore, AMICO’s strength is being designed 'from the companies', where all the activities of business support have been planned, directed toward the concretisation and the effectiveness of interventions. "

The managing director of Fiera del Levante Servizi, G. Massimo Lupis, project manager of AMICO, outlined the activities that characterize the operations of the project in Albania and Macedonia, "in keeping with the guidelines of the Ministry of Economic Development, through the establishment of cooperative relations between small and medium Italian, Albanian and Macedonian enterprises that want to support the process of penetration in those markets that show growth rates of interest must be considered very carefully by all the contractors involved in the process of internationalization. "

The markets for renewable energy and environmental technologies have a strategic role in the development of Albania and Macedonia supported by Italian companies active in these fields and soon will be activated specialized information services that enable our entrepreneurs to gather, analyze and evaluate the opportunities of the market. Consequently, AMICO also activates a service for finding foreign partners with whom to build commercial and industrial alliances at the offices of Bari, Tirana and Skopje. "Through the continued cooperation with local businesses, our business will really take root in these markets: for this purpose, Alb-Konfindustria, Union of Chambers of Commerce of Macedonia offer guarantees of competence and capabilities," said President Ciuffreda.

AMICO also carries out activities in support of transnational institutional cooperation, reconfirming the Fiera del Levante Services in the role of Technical Secretariat of Corridor VIII and supporting the realization of events of collaboration between the Italian Government, the Government of the Republic of Albania and the Government of Republic of Macedonia.

In the afternoon we held the first working meeting of the AMICO project, confirming the leading role of Fiera del Levante and Puglia in Italian national system of cooperation with the Balkans.
